Preventive healthcare is the cornerstone of overall well-being and ailment management.

This can be achieved by complying with the four pillars of health: nutrition, physical activity, emotional health, and medical therapy.

MediBuddy has designed a solution to a holistic wellness program headed by a Family Medicine Specialist, with the support of wellness coaches (nutritionists and psychologists).

To study the impact of preventive interventions on health, lifestyle, and behavior among corporate employees.

METHODOLOGY

Employees who completed their preventive medical check and survey questionnaire were selected for the program.

The key focus areas were identified and with informed consent were put on various preventive interventions and tracked for a period of 2 years, Jan 2021 to Dec 2022

7 categories of interventions were administered: nutritional, fitness & psychological counselling, weight & ailment management, lifestyle guidance and holistic coaching.

Conditions identified were grouped into three categories - Lifestyle related, mental well-being related & others.

Progress was assessed by relevant laboratory parameters in medical ailments, symptom relief or ability to cope in emotional concerns and self-reported health-promoting behavioral change in all categories.

CONCLUSION

Holistic health can be achieved by consistent effort by the individual supported by primary care physician as observed in this study.
